RICHIE MEHTA - WRITER / DIRECTOR
A versatile writer/director with many years of experience in a wide variety of video and film projects, Richie Mehta's most recent work has been screened at such film festivals as Reelworld, Montreal, Telluride, Atlantic, New York Independent, Filmi South Asian and Dallas South Asian. Trained as a painter, sculptor, and videographer, he comes from an extensive creative background, and has focused his career on the emerging South Asian culture in Canada. Richie has been exposed to a variety of creative influences, from Modern Western art and architecture, Eastern philosophy and literature, Hollywood, Bollywood, and everything in between. |

STEVEN N. BRAY - PRODUCER
A movie buff with strong passion towards filmmaking, Steven Bray has spent the last 7 years in the Toronto Film and TV scene, as Post Coordinator/Supervisor for Alliance-Atlantis, Fireworks and CineNova, and Producer/Director on the films "Drowning in Hope," "Forgotten Past: Beyond Cambodia" and the award-winning Cambodian documentary "I am Khmer." With strong interest in portraying heartfelt social-political issues, Steven is currently producing the short "Yellow Bird," and is developing two features with Richie Mehta based on their recent shorts - the sci-fi "System of Units" and India-based drama "Amal." |

ASIM WALI as "MESSING"
Asim moved to Toronto recently after graduating from the Neighbourhood Playhouse in New York City. He has worked on stage with professional theatre companies in New York and Connecticut, and has appeared in a variety of television series' in both Canada and the U.S. Notable TV appereances include Principal roles in "The Newsroom 2," "Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye," and a role in New Line Cinema's "Hedwig and the Angry Inch." Asim is also a former student of the late Uta Hagen. |

PRAGNA DESAI as "GIRL"
Pragna has appeared in numerous TV shows over the years such as "Witchblade," "Mutant X," "1-800-Missing" and "72 Hours." Most recently, she guest starred in two episodes of "ER," as well as a cameo role in Deepa Mehta's "Bollywood Hollywood" and Paramount Pictures "The Sum of all Fears." Her stage credits include "Rice Boy," "Great Expectations," and "Merlin," to name a few. She was the recipient of the Jean A. Chalmers Award in the Stratford Festival. |

CONRAD CATON as "CHAT"
Conrad Caton graduated with a business degree and has since been studying and practicing the art of acting for the past two years. Within that time frame, he has worked on several television series, a movie of the week, a feature film, and a diverse array of commercials airing in Canada and the US. He has had the opportunity to be directed by Dan Petrie in "The Big Dance" and Stefan Scaini in "Wild Card" just to name a few. |

MICHAEL TRAPANI - PRODUCTION DESIGNER
Michael Trapani's experience in the visual arts is expansive. As a graduate from the University of Toronto and Sheridan College's joint fine art program, Michael practiced painting, sculpture, photography, and printmaking. Following graduation, Michael embarked on a fine art career, focusing on painting, with great success and has exhibited in galleries throughout North America. System of Units is Michael's first foray into production design. He is currently in a communications program in Toronto and continues to paint and pursue opportunities in film. His paintings are in many private collections in North America. |

COLIN AGUIAR - COMPOSER
Colin began as a musician at age two, graduating to public performance at four, and composing by age ten. His first musical, Dreamers was written at sixteen and his second, A Political Romance was written at eighteen. Growing up internationally, from India, to the middle east and several parts of Europe, Colin has had the privilege of naturally absorbing indigenous music's in addition to a strict training in European classical styles. He has also had the good fortune of being moulded into film scoring by mentor, Mychael Danna - composer for Atom Egoyan, Ang Lee and many others. Colin has contributed to films that have toured all major international festivals, including the Oscars. |

YALE MASSEY - DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Yale Massey directed his first short film in 2002 entitled "Self Portrait," which premiered at The Montreal World Film Festival. Yale is currently directing a television sitcom, "Annex Scape," which will premiere on Rogers Television in the fall of 2004. As a DOP, his films have been broadcasted on television and premiered in film festivals all over the world, including the Berlin Film Festival, The New York Independent Film Festival, and The ReelWorld Film Festival. In addition, his photographs have been published in The National Post and Saturday Night Magazine. |

KELSEY HART - COSTUME DESIGNER
Kelsey Hart received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the California Institute of the Arts in 2002, as well as a Theatre Design DEC from John Abbott College. She has since been designing costumes and assisting on a variety of productions in the Toronto independent film and theatre circuit. Kelsey's most recent credits include: "The Crypt Club," "Twist," "The Clock is Ticking," "Safe," "The Laramie Project," "System of Units" and "The Fool and White Knuckles." |

SHERVIN SHOGHIAN - VFX SUPERVISOR
Shervin's training includes the Advanced Computer Animation and Modelling program at the University of Toronto and the post-graduate Advanced Film and Television program at Sheridan College. He has applied his artistic vision to the feature films "Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat," "Dawn of the Dead" and "Resident Evil 2" for visual effects companies such as SohoVFX and Mr. X fx. He has also created visual effects for independent and commercials. Shervin is an aspiring Film Director and has already directed televisions commercials for "Pioneer Electronics" and "Mercedes-Benz." |

THOMAS BERGER - EDITOR / SOUND SUPERVISOR
Thomas Berger completed an undergraduate degree in Film Studies and communications from McGill University in Montreal. It was here that he first developed a taste for editing, cutting five commercials for "JVC Canada." In the past year, Tom has edited the pilot for a reality TV show and four films, including "System of Units." Additionally, Tom was selected to represent his school in the annual ACE Student Editing Competition in Los Angeles. Tom is also studying Audio and Audio Post Production and is involved in half a dozen films in this capacity. |

MILLIE TOM - CASTING DIRECTOR
Millie Tom is a Toronto-based Casting Director with wide-ranging experience in casting series, shorts and features. Millie worked with Genie-nominated director John L'Ecuyer on his second feature "St. Jude." She also cast the independent crime-drama feature "It All Happened Incredibly Fast" starring Maurice Dean Wint, and the feature film "Rub & Tug," starring Don McKellar, which premiered at the 2002 Toronto International Film Festival. Most recently she cast the Canadian Film Centre short "The Dog Walker," Richie Metha's short "System of Units" and was the Canadian Casting Associate on Olivier Assayas' most recent feature film drama "CLEAN". |
